Alisha falls short in final after amazing run

Singapore

GEORGE TOWN: Spunky Alisha Iman Cheong took the biggest scalp of her career but then came up short when it mattered most in the 4th Penang Durian Masters Championship at the Penang Bowl yesterday.

The 22-year-old Kuala Lumpur bowler, who was surprised to qualify for the step-ladder finals as the third-placed finisher, could not believe it when she trounced national ace Shalin Zulkifli 224-181 in the playoffs.
