THE Malaysian netball team got their gold medal defence off to a superb start, notching a second straight win by handing hosts Philippines a 88-25 thrashing yesterday.

The Malaysia team can thank stalwarts Norashikin Kamal Zaman and Khairunnisa Nazri who scored 28 and 29 points respectively in the big win over the hosts.
