Oh, boy! Thor tames Ukraine’s wonderkid to end bad streak


PETALING JAYA: Malaysia’s Thor Chuan Leong fended off a spirited challenge from Ukrainian wonderkid Iulian Boiko to finally end his dreadful record in the World Snooker Championship qualifiers.

On Wednesday, the 32-year-old Chuan Leong beat Boiko 6-3 (131-0, 38-65, 76-6, 80-38, 44-80, 45-68, 97-0, 83-4, 92-0) in the opening round at the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield, England.
