PETALING JAYA: Former national exponent C. Shahmalarani may be a mathematics whiz and an author of a book but she has not given up on her dream to become a karate star.

The 23-year-old from Selangor says karate remains a big passion of hers and hopes to make the squad for the Vietnam SEA Games in Hanoi at the end of the year.
