Bonnie Bunyau lifts second consecutive world championship gold


KUALA LUMPUR: Tokyo Paralympics champion Bonnie Bunyau Gustin produced another outstanding effort to retain his status as world champion at the 2021 World Para Powerlifting Championships in Tbilisi, Georgia on Thursday (Dec 2) night.

The 22-year-old Sarawakian was dominant in the men’s 72kg category right from the beginning, after successfully lifting 200kg in his first attempt, before securing the world crown in the biennial tournament with a 210kg lift.
