HIS father Azhar Ahmad was a pencak silat gold medallist at the 2001 SEA Games in Kuala Lumpur. Now, the son Mohd Khairi Adib Azhar has followed in his footsteps.

The 20-year-old Khairi came to the rescue of the silat team by delivering the only gold medal on the final day of competition at the Bac Tu Liem Gymnasium yesterday.
