It may not be a long shot for long distance runner Ikbolasen in Sukma

PETALING JAYA: Pahang’s long distance runner Mohd Ikbolasen Md Kamal Hussain sent a warning to his rivals that he is shaping up well for next week’s Malaysia Games (Sukma) hosted by the National Sports Council in Kuala Lumpur.

Despite the humid race conditions, the 20-year-old Ikbolasen powered his way to the top spot in the men’s elite 10km race in the Asics Southeast Asian edition of Meta:Time:Trials in Bangkok recently by posting his personal best of 31:31s, improving his previous best mark by 1.31.
