Javelin veteran Hisham breaks Games record and has no intention of throwing in towel

Can still go on: Mohd Hisham Khaironi believes he can still compete until the 2024 Para Sukma in Johor.

PETALING JAYA: Many thought Mohd Hisham Khaironi was way past his prime but he has proven ‘em all wrong.

The 43-year-old javelin thrower made a sensational comeback after a five-year hiatus to break the Para Malaysia Games (Sukma) record of 28.31m with his superb 42.20m throw in the F12 (visual impairment) category en route to winning gold for Kedah.
