Kok Leong targets pro snooker circuit after making history as amateur

PETALING JAYA: Snooker star Lim Kok Leong is now fired up to build a successful professional career after becoming Malaysia’s first ever world amateur champion.

On Friday, the 27-year-old did the country proud when he defeated last year’s runner-up Amir Sarkhosh of Iran 5-0 (68-63, 67-42, 78-0, 80-7, 73-54) in the individual final of the World Amateur Snooker Championship in Antalya, Turkey.
