SEA Games 2023: Silat exponent Izzul bags Malaysia's 20th overall gold


PETALING JAYA: Malaysia got its 20th gold medal at the SEA Games in Cambodia after Mohd Izzul Irfan Marzuki won the men's below 65kg pencak silat category on Wednesday (May 10)

Izzul beat Indonesia’s Kadek Andrey Nova Prayada 39-33 in the final at the Chroy Changvar Convention Center in Phnom Penh.

It is Malaysia's fourth gold medal in pencak silat.

Earlier, Nor Farah Mazlan won the women's below 50kg category and Norsyakirah Muksin won the women's below 45kg category.

On Monday (May 8), twins Mohd Danial Azrol and Mohd Danial Azray Noorazizan clinched the men's artistic ganda seni title.
