Norsyakirah makes mummy very proud

Talented: Norsyakirah Muksin flying the Jalur Gemilang after winning her bout.

NORSYAKIRAH Muksin had to go against her mother’s wishes to take up pencak silat. Now, mum is proud of her daughter.

No wonder. Norsyakirah proved her capability by capturing gold in the women’s below 45kg. The 22-year-old stayed cool under pressure in her debut to overcome Indonesia’s Suci Wulandari 36-33 in a pulsating final at the Chroy Changvar Convention Centre in Phnom Penh.
