Syazwani captures surprise bronze to meet one-medal target

Proud moment: Nur Syazwani Radzi with team manager Jampi Tutong after winning the bronze.

Weightlifting has met its one-medal target – but it took debutant Nur Syazwani Radzi to deliver it after the fancied Erry Hidayat failed in the men’s 73kg.

Syazwani showed she had the potential to follow in her idol Aznil Bidin’s footsteps by capturing a surprise bronze at the Weightlifting Olympics Complex.
