Sailor Nur Shazrin bags Malaysia's first Asian Games gold


HANGZHOU: Malaysia have bagged its first gold medal of the Hangzhou Asian Games after sailor Nur Shazrin Abdul Latiff bagged the ILCA 6 gold at the Xiangshan Sailing Centre on Wednesday (Sept 27).

The 25-year-old completed 11 races with a net point of 25 points to win her first gold in the Asian Games.

Hong Kong's Stephanie Norton finished second with 37 net points, while Singapore's Victoria Chan took bronze with 38 points.

In sailing, the ones with the lowest net points from 10 races will win the event.
