PETALING JAYA: Perseverance won the day for Wong Weng Son as he is again crowned a world champion in wushu at the age of 31.

Weng Son rose to the occasion in the final tournament of the year to deliver the first gold for Malaysia in the men’s changquan event at the World Championships in Fort Worth, Texas, yesterday.
