PETALING JAYA: They say curiosity killed the cat but in the case of young fencer Kaerlan Vinod Kamalanathan, it did not land him in any trouble but instead, it turned out to be a game changer in his life.

Kaerlan was only six when he happened to peek through a glass door of a fencing training session by chance a decade ago.
