Edmund fulfils father’s wish - as coach in the Olympics


Like father, like son: Edmund Yeo lifting his father after winning the 2001 SEA Games weightlifting gold medal. Now Edmund is coach to Aniq Kasdan for the upcoming Paris Olympics.

KUALA LUMPUR: Former SEA Games weightlifting champion Edmund Yeo is not only continuing the legacy of his late father William in the sport but has gone a step further.

The 48-year-old will be guiding reigning Commonwealth Games champion Aniq Kasdan to make a breakthrough for Malaysia in the Paris Olympic from July 26-Aug 11.
