Delays aplenty with Marseille in the mercy of winds

Not smooth-sailing: Khairulnizam’s first race in the men’s dinghy event saw delays of almost an hour.

IT hasn’t been plain sailing in Marseille for the Paris Olympics sailing events as inconsistent winds have caused delays across the field.

Since the first day, there have been daily postponements, which could see the race committee move the four race courses further away from the marina and sort out alternative plans if the weather does not cooperate.
