PARIS (Reuters) - French President Emmanuel Macron declared the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games open on Wednesday during an opening ceremony that was being held on the Champs Elysees and the Place de la Concorde.

Competitions will start on Thursday and end on Sept. 8.
