Triathlon events postponed

THE triathlon events at the Paris Paralympic Games scheduled for yesterday have been postponed due to fresh concerns about the quality of water in the River Seine.

The events have been rescheduled for today if continued testing shows an improvement in the water quality.

“The latest tests show a decrease in water quality in the river following the rain episodes over the last two days,” the statement read, saying the events would go ahead on Monday if the water tests complied with “established World Triathlon thresholds.”— dpa
