PETALING JAYA: Increasing the talent pool of national athletes is one way to ensure the country has back-up athletes who can take over once the seniors decide to retire.

Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh said although older athletes can still compete, some sports are more physically demanding and require younger ones.
