Eight-hour trip worth it as dad witnesses son Galang smash national mark

PETALING JAYA: It was a long but worthwhile trip for Jabai Nanta as he watched his son Galang Jabai smash the national record in the Para Malaysia Games (Sukma) swimming competition at Pandelela Rinong Aquatic Centre yesterday.

Galang splashed to two gold medals in winning the men’s S7 100m freestyle final in 1:23.18s for Sarawak ahead of Mohd Syafiq Azman of Kedah (1:26.06s) and Mohd Ikmal Danial of Penang (1:47.94s).
