Yong Xin hopes Nantong win will be turning point in career


NANTONG: Perseverance has paid off for national back-up taiji exponent Kwan Yong Xin (pic) as she grabbed the limelight by claiming Malaysia’s first gold in the China-Asean Wushu Championship in Nantong, China.

The 16-year-old, who made the switch to taiji discipline just three years ago, won the 42 forms taijiquan event in the Group B (13-16) category after earning 8.59 points.
