Top paddler reaps golden harvest as Malaysia end SEA meet as overall champs

PETALING JAYA: Javen Choong smashed his way to an unprecedented four-gold feat as Malaysia’s table tennis hit new heights in the South-East Asian (SEA) Championships in Bangkok yesterday.

The 23-year-old started the day with a bang by partnering Wong Qi Shen to claim the men’s doubles title for Malaysia after defeating Vietnam’s Nghuyen Anh Tu-Nguyen Doan Kien Tan to settle down, winning 11-7, 11-9, 11-8.
