(Reuters) - Former Scotland captain John Barclay has announced his retirement from rugby union, drawing the curtain on a 16-year career, Scottish Rugby said on Saturday.

Barclay, 33, spent eight years with the Glasgow Warriors before joining Scarlets and leading them to the Pro 14 title in 2017.
