Ivan breaks first-round jinx with win over Farkas in Hong Kong

PETALING JAYA: Ivan Yuen, determined to avoid another first round exit, came from behind to beat Hungarian Balazs Farkas in five games to advance to the second round of the Hong Kong Open squash championships yesterday.

The Malaysian world No. 69 had lost in the first round in four consecutive Professional Squash Federation (PSA) tour tournaments since May before overcoming world No. 51 Farkas 14-12, 6-11, 8-11, 11-6, 11-0 in 55 minutes at the Hong Kong Squash Centre.
