Ameeshenraj gets chance to prove himself in first Asian Team meet

On a mission: C. Ameeshenraj hopes to win first team gold in Dalian.

PETALING JAYA: Rising star C. Ameeshenraj is all pumped up over the opportunity to play in the Asian Team Championships and with the prospect of winning gold in his debut.

Ameeshenraj, 20, missed out on a spot in the Hangzhou Asian Games last year but his marked improvement in recent months and the retirement of National No. 2 Ivan Yuen had cleared the path for the Bristol-based player to feature in the meet starting in Dalian, China tomorrow.
