Thanusaa and Zhi Xuan storm into last eight in Asian Juniors


U. Thanusaa made it to the Girls Under-19 quarter-finals at the Asian Junior Championships on June 26.

PETALING JAYA: Title contenders U. Thanusaa and Goh Zhi Xuan stormed into the quarter-finals as other Malaysians also did well in their respective events of the Asian Junior Championships in Aabpara, Islamabad, yesterday.

Top seed Thanusaa, aiming for her first title at the Asian Juniors, defeated Aaliya Khaleen of Singapore 11-5, 11-7, 11-4 in the second round.
