PETALING JAYA: Malaysian girls fought a gritty battle but hosts United States proved too strong as they won 2-0 in the team semi-finals of the World Junior squash championships in Houston on Monday.

Individual semi-finalist Caroline Fouts led the way as she beat U. Thanusaa 11-5, 5-11, 11-9, 11-4 in the first match.
