PETALING JAYA: A training stint in Florida is paying dividends for squash player Rachel Arnold.
World No. 30 Rachel, who underwent an eight-week training stint under Egyptian coach Wael El Hindi, fought hard to beat Hong Kong’s world No. 49 Chan Sin Yuk 9-11, 12-10, 4-11, 11-6, 11-6 in 47 minutes to reach the quarter-finals of the Open Squash Classic in New York on Monday.The 28-year-old Rachel now has a good opportunity to reach the last four when she plays England’s world No. 38 Katie Maliff next.
