KUALA LUMPUR: Talented youngsters Welson Sim and Ng Yi Hao have splashed their way to golden victories for Malaysia in the swimming competition of the 7th Asean Schools Games in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei.

The 18-year-old Welson left Thailand’s Chakorn Wanpern trailing in his wake as he powered his way to win the boys’ 400m freestyle final in 3:57.16. The Thai clocked 4:01.73, with Singapore’s Wong Jun Bin settling for the bronze in 4:05.05.
