PETALING JAYA: Young Malaysian swimmer Jayden Tan came up short in his bid to mark his World Aquatics Championships debut with a season best performance. The 18-year-old missed out on the national record of 2:03.77s set by Khiew Hoe Yean during the Malaysian Open in March when he clocked 2:06.31s to finish 37th overall in the men’s 200m individual medley heats in Fukuoka, Japan yesterday.
The Cambodia SEA Games double bronze winner did a better time in the Malaysian Open in March, clocking 2:05.02s.
