PETALING JAYA: It was a timely Merdeka gift for Malaysia as young tennis player Imran Daniel Abdul Hazli triumphed in the J60 ITF tennis championship in Singapore on Friday.

Imran picked up his third title of the season in style by not dropping a set throughout the outdoor hard court tournament, which is part of the International Tennis Federation junior circuit.
