WITH Covid-19 cases still within four digits and some states including Selangor and Penang under the conditional movement control order, Prudential Assurance Malaysia Berhad and Prudential BSN Takaful (Prudential Malaysia) aim to provide assistance to its customers who have medical plans with general exclusion on communicable diseases that require quarantine by law (pandemic exclusion).

Prudential Malaysia‘s Covid-19 Hospitalisation and Post Vaccination campaign provides assistance to customers who incur medical expenses resulting from hospitalisation treatment due to Covid-19 at any Ministry of Health (MOH) designated private hospital as well as coverage for any adverse effects from the Covid-19 vaccination.

Funded on a goodwill basis, this campaign is complimentary for all eligible Prudential Malaysia customers who signed up through the Pulse by Prudential app.

For customers who require hospitalisation at any MOH designated private hospital due to Covid-19, depending on the type of medical plan they own, Prudential will offer up to RM20,000 reimbursement for hospitalisation claims.

For customers who recently upgraded their policy to include the pandemic exclusion, the reimbursement will be based on the limits as well as all other terms and conditions stated in the policy document of their previous medical plan.

In recent news, you’ve probably heard about the announcement that our Government has procured more vaccine supply in our fight against Covid-19. Registration for Covid-19 vaccination to members of the public has already commenced.

With this, Prudential wants to provide its customers peace of mind by offering RM500 cash relief2 to those who require hospitalisation in Malaysia related to adverse effects from the Covid-19 vaccination.

This campaign is in addition to Prudential’s Special Covid-19 Coverage 2021 which provides RM1,000 cash relief upon hospitalisation and RM10,000 death benefit for Prudential Malaysia customers.

Eligible Prudential Malaysia customers can sign up and view their coverage on the Pulse by Prudential app today. They can also speak to their Prudential Wealth Planner or Takaful Agent to understand their Covid-19 coverage better and what they can claim for.
