UDA Holdings Bhd (UDA) is ushering in its 50th anniversary with the launch of the UDA 50 Golden Offers as thanks for the support it has received over the years.

With the tagline Own and Win, UDA 50 Golden Offers is open to all buyers of UDA Property units between the period of Jan 1 to October 31,2021.

In addition to up to 10% rebate for selected UDA projects nationwide, prospective buyers also stand a chance to win attractive prizes and incentives worth more than RM500,000. 50 prizes are up for grabs, such as the Proton X50 grand prize, five units of 50g gold bars and five units of Yamaha Y15ZR motorcycles.

Advancing urbanisation

A key leader in the planning and advancement of modern Malaysia’s urban landscape, the property development and asset management company was initially established by the Malaysian Government on Nov 12,1971 as the Urban Development Authority.

UDA has achieved numerous milestones along its 50-year journey, the results of which can be seen through its successful commercial and residential projects in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Penang, Johor Bahru, Terengganu and Pahang. As a leader in the planning and advancement of modern Malaysia’s urban landscape, UDA has several properties across Malaysia, with more to come in Sabah and Sarawak. As a leader in the planning and advancement of modern Malaysia’s urban landscape, UDA has several properties across Malaysia, with more to come in Sabah and Sarawak.

Today, it is a government-linked company fully owned by the Ministry of Finance Incorporated and is overseen by the Ministry of Entrepreneurial Development, with the vision of being the preferred organisation with diversified property and asset management businesses.

As it honours its 50-year history, UDA is also firmly setting its sights on the future with the goal of expanding and consolidating its position in both East and West Malaysia, as well as recording further achievements in its efforts to improve the living standards of Malaysians through property ownership.

Reaffirming its direction for the future anchored on its core business principle - to enrich the lifestyle of Malaysians sustainably and affordably - UDA chairman Datuk Seri Jalaluddin Alias revealed that the campaign is the first of many other programmes lined up for the year, in conjunction with its golden jubilee celebration to promote UDA projects across the country.

“We are proud to be here today launching the UDA 50 Golden Offers. This campaign is our way of saying ‘thank you’ to all our supporters out there. We hope that this campaign, offering residential and commercial properties all over Malaysia, will stimulate interest among potential customers.

“This initiative will promote the local property market and property ownership, in line with UDA’s key message, enriching affordable and sustainable lifestyle, ” he said at the campaign’s launch at Legasi Kampong Bharu Sales Gallery, Kuala Lumpur.

UDA president and chief executive officer Mohd Salem Kailany, along with the company’s board members and senior management, was also in attendance at the event, which unveiled the Proton X50 as the campaign’s grand prize.

Giving back consistently

While the launch of the campaign marks the official beginning of UDA’s 50th anniversary programme line-up, UDA fanned the flames of anticipation and excitement in the months leading up to it with the UDA 50th Anniversary Logo Design Competition in October 2020.

UDA has pledged to use the winning logo design throughout the year, as part of its year-long anniversary celebrations.

But UDA 50 Golden Offers and the UDA 50th Anniversary Logo Design Competition reflect only one way through which the company gives back to the community and enriches the quality of life for Malaysians, under the auspices of its golden anniversary.

Uniquely, UDA is also championing sustained corporate social responsibility initiatives under UDA Cares’ Project RE (ReAct, ReBuild, ReEnergize) as part of its celebrations.

Its long line of efforts that started in March to provide support for frontliners combating the Covid-19 pandemic include an RM30,000 initiative in November 2020 that saw a total of 50 hotel lunch packs delivered daily for 50 consecutive weekdays to frontliners at Kuala Lumpur Hospital; as well as its Feb 5 contribution amounting to RM70,000 to provide comfort via better amenities to uplift the spirit and morale of Hospital Sungai Buloh’s frontliners.

Similarly, the recently launched UDA 50 Golden Offers also traces back to the same theme of thankfulness, this time to reward and give back to its supporters.

For every RM100,000 spent to purchase an UDA property, a new buyer will be entitled to one lucky draw entry for the campaign, while existing homeowners who have purchased UDA properties before the commencement of the campaign are entitled to receive a multiplier bonus of two entries per RM100,000 spent.

The available housing or commercial projects eligible for the campaign include:

> Kuala Lumpur: Legasi Kampong Bharu Residence, Akasia Jubilee Residence and 38 Bangsar Residence

> Penang: Elevate commercial units, Evoke Condominium and Crescent Dew bungalows

> Johor Bahru: Pisonia Ville and Rossa Terrace in Johor Bahru

> Terengganu: Coast Commercial Centre and Sarai bungalows
