ACCOUNTING plays a vital role in every business, non-profit organisation or government agency. It serves a variety of operations in our society and is a highly regarded profession with job security and vast opportunities for career advancement.
It helps you to track income and expenditures, ensure statutory compliance, and provide investors, management and government with comprehensive financial information that can be used to make an informed decision.
With wider job opportunities for accountancy graduates, any ambitious individual looking to pursue ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) studies can look to Imperium International College to chart their career path.
This is possible as the college has its ACCA “Study Now, Pay Later” financial aid programme to help students realise their dreams.
According to Imperium International College chief executive officer and president Anne Rajasaikaran, any Malaysian student or individual looking to pursue ACCA full time or part time can apply for this financial aid.
"This financial aid, which is only open to Malaysian students, will not only give you a head start towards a career in professional accountancy, but also provide you with peace of mind – thanks to its stretched out seven-year repayment plan that is 100% interest free throughout the course period,” she said.
Anne shared that the loan is being offered by MAA Group Bhd in partnership with the college.
The financial aid would be made available to the first 400 students who apply for the facility.
On why the financial aid is being offered for the ACCA programme, she said: “Many students with financial constrains who wish to pursue professional accountancy are unable to do so as major education loan providers such as PTPTN (the National Higher Education Fund Corporation) do not cover ACCA and ACCA FIA (ACCA Foundation in Accountancy).
“With the introduction of this financial aid, we believe more students will have the opportunity to pursue the education they deserve," she said.
Anne revealed that the college has set aside about RM14mil for this financial aid.
On the terms and conditions for application, she said: “Students will receive automatic pre-approval if they meet the admission criteria of the college and ACCA programme.”
Formerly known as HELP College of Arts and Technology (HELP CAT), Imperium International College successfully completed the take over of HELP CAT and began operations in March 2020.
As the new official entity with global recognition, Imperium International College is committed to ensuring that its students can access high quality education and the best employment opportunities across all sectors.
Imperium International College is now owned by MAA Group as the company puts focus on expanding its education business. MAA Group also owns St John’s International School and Pusat Tuisyen Kasturi under its subsidiary, Edumaax Sdn Bhd.
The college with its city campus in the heart of the dynamic metropolis of Kuala Lumpur, is well connected via link bridge from Chan Sow Lin station (LRT and future MRT).
