SHOULD you be in the mood for some retail therapy, or perhaps need a space to catch up with friends or even enjoy a family day out, Sunshine Mall in Penang is poised to check all the boxes.

Scheduled to be completed in Q1 2023, this one-stop lifestyle shopping centre is set to be one of the largest malls in northern Malaysia and touted to add a new twist to conventional shopping, dining and lifestyle experiences.

Besides that, a key element to the development of Sunshine Central is the mixed-use development in Air Itam by Suiwah Corporation Bhd, best known for its Sunshine supermarkets and departmental stores.

Sunshine Mall aims to raise the bar with over 412 retail stores spread over nine levels, filled with just about everything from food and beverage to fashion to beauty, jewellery, luxury goods, digital gadgets, home decor, sporting products and lifestyle essentials among others.

With the main anchor tenant Sunshine Lifestyle hypermarket offering fresh groceries, it will also be showcasing local and international food ingredients in a more interactive setting compared to the traditional one-way aisle concept.

Patrons will also be able to enjoy Golden Screen Cinemas with 11 state-of-the-art halls that offer movie fans the best cinematic experiences.

You will also find a food court offering a multitude of international delicacies, an alfresco dining precinct that caters to a myriad of gastronomic preferences, as well as an Athens Fitness gym for health buffs, karaoke and an amusement centre.

Designed around a resplendent central atrium, the mall allows visitors to feel the buzz of festivity and excitement no matter where they are in the mall. For those considering business opportunities, the good visibility and sight lines is also a great plus point.

The mall offers hassle-free parking with 3,500 bays in a multi-level car park that incorporates the latest, user-friendly entrance and payment systems.

To date, 50% of leasable retail space has already been taken up. Sunshine Mall will not only cater to the 430,000-strong population in the immediate Air Itam and Paya Terubong areas, but also is eager to serve patrons from all across the northern region – with an expected monthly footfall of 1.5 million visitors.

There will be so much to do, explore and relish once this haven of thrilling delights opens next year.

This serviced apartment comes with 270 well-designed units ranging in size from 124.7sqm (1,342sqft) to 183.3sqm (1,973sqft) and fitted with generous lifestyle amenities.

There will also be a 320-room Sunshine World Hotel catering to both business and leisure travellers, and a 128-unit Sunshine Tower with smart offices, co-working spaces, an incubator centre, a data centre and a helipad – these will occupy separate 18-storey blocks.

Below these two blocks is a one-level hall that can host concerts, exhibition, event, conference and seminar spaces, as well as a wellness centre.
