Rewards aplenty given out at The Roof Realty gala dinner
REAL estate agency The Roof Realty Sdn Bhd (TRR) recently hosted an RM2mil gala dinner and rewarded its property agents for their commitment and success even during the challenging Covid-19 period.
TRR which has 23 branches in Malaysia invited 1,500 property agents to the dinner, and 200 awards across 20 categories were given out at the event held at Setia City Convention Centre in Shah Alam.
“The gala dinner is organised annually to reward members who performed well in the previous year,” said TRR founder and group managing director Datuk Nicholas Yap.
“Because we were not able to have any big event due to the pandemic, we decided to hold the gala dinner this year.”
Themed “Everyone is a Superstar”, the TRR Award and Gala Dinner 2022 included presentations of the Sales Champion Award 2020 (Top 50 Achievers), TRR Most Impressive Figure on Social Media, TRR Top Influencer on Social Media, TRR Nationwide Top Project, TRR Nationwide Top NMRE Performance Bonus 2021 Champion, TRR Nationwide Most Motivational Award, Star Agent Award, Top Rising Team Award and TRR Top Rising Group, TRR Most Cases Transactor, TRR Malaysia Top Branch, TRR Malaysia Top Group, TRR Outstanding Leader, TRR Most Passionate Leadership and TRR Million Dollar Negotiator.
Lucky draw prizes worth RM1mil that night included two houses, one Mercedes C200, two Rolex, one Porsche, and cash amounting to RM300,000 – as appreciation for the property agents who had been with the company to realise their aspirations and goals.
In his speech, Yap shared that TRR agents transacted properties worth RM4.5bil in 2020, and RM6.7bil in 2021.
"I hope 2022 will be a better year with the reopening of the borders, and every team member will keep the momentum going as you strive towards achieving your goals,” he said.
TRR director Ivan Chong highlighted that the company workforce has grown from 6,000 to 8,000 negotiators.
He said that it is part of the company culture to give back to society and TRR would continue to carry out corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives for communities in need.
He shared that the TRR team has distributed more than 1,000 basic necessity items to poor folk under their #TRRJagaKita initiative.
This is in line with Yap’s philosophy: “We teach what we learnt, we give what we earned, and become other people's benefactor.”
“In the next two years, TRR will give out cash and (house) rental payment for needy families,“ Chong added.
Director Jerry See said TRR optimises technology in its business.
“With business intelligence and artificial intelligence, we can build a virtual (platform) and our negotiators can show the best homes on the smartphone,” he said, adding that TRR is coming up with a more advanced system to assist its agents.
At the gala dinner, The Roof Realty launched the TRR Foundation to provide a “roof over the heads” of poor families in the country, in line with the company's name.
TRR is said to be the first real estate agency in Malaysia to set up such a foundation to carry out its CSR activities for the benefit of poor communities.
At the launch event, TRR Foundation donated medical equipment worth more than RM15,000 to Hospital Sungai Buloh and another RM15,000 to Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL).
Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, who is in charge of Parliament and Law, had on June 8 this year issued a certificate to the trustees of TRR Foundation, that the foundation has been incorporated and subject to conditions and instructions under Section 2(2) of the Trustees (Incorporation) Act 1952, which covers among others service period, qualification and number of trustees.
