THE FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 has turned heads all over the globe this year, as millions tune in to cheer on their favourite footballing nations.
Being the sole official sponsor from the mobile phone industry for the World Cup, vivo has collaborated with local charity group World Vision Malaysia for the launch of the vivo Give It a Shot challenge – to help underprivileged children and communities in the country.
In line with FIFA’s vision to make football inclusive for all, the aim of the initiative is to get Malaysians into the World Cup spirit by encouraging them to show off their silky football skills and give back to the needy at the same time.
All you have to do is record a video of yourself kicking a football in your own creative way and upload it on social media (Facebook, Instagram and TikTok) with the hashtag #vivogiveitashotchallenge and #vivoMYxFIFA.
You’ll also have to tag two of your friends in the captions section and ensure that your social media profile is open to the public.
The Give It a Shot challenge will run until Dec 18 and for every video uploaded, vivo will donate RM1 to World Vision Malaysia.
Additionally, local ambassadors of vivo – Hael Husaini, Danny Koo and Okokokmou (Madelaine Ang) – also invite Malaysians to participate in the challenge to help create a better future for underprivileged children across Malaysia.
vivo is the official smartphone of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and announced its agreement to sponsor the FIFA World Cup for six years in 2017, covering two tournament cycles.
