A Chinese New Year reunion dinner will be incomplete without Yee Sang.
Yee Sang is a Malaysian tradition, a symbol of good luck, prosperity and health.
It is a salad dish eaten before the main courses, traditionally featuring raw fish, carrots, radish, leek, cucumber, pickled ginger, pomelo, peanuts, sesame seeds, crackers, five spice powder, pepper, oil and plum sauce.
This dish is then assembled beautifully on a plate for the prosperity toss, or Lou Hei. While tossing the Yee Sang – the higher, the better – auspicious words are spoken, and one popular phrase is “Huat ah!”

You stand a chance to win RM618. Ten lucky winners will be able to take home amazing prizes with their creativity.
You just need to upload a post consisting of a photo or a series of photos of your most creative experience or moment in relation to Yee Sang on your Facebook or Instagram profiles alongside a short caption describing the creative yet memorable event (in not more than 100 words).

The contest (from now till Feb 5) is open to all individual participants who are Malaysians with a valid MyKad, or permanent residents of Malaysia, aged 21 years and above at the commencement of the contest period.
Participants can submit multiple entries but each participant can only win one prize. The prize will be credited into the winner’s AEON member Plus Visa Card or AEON wallet account.
