This shape allows for a larger bending radius than the U-shaped hinge, resulting in a lighter crease and lessening screen deformation by reducing visual and tactile interruption.
The smartphone was even tested by folding and unfolding the smartphone 216,000 times at the TÜV Rhineland* lab tests that found that the crease remained almost imperceptible from most angles.
