KOLEJ Yayasan UEM (KYUEM) is a fully residential A-level college situated at Lembah Beringin in the north of Selangor.

The institution provides a relatively peaceful environment that is conducive to effective learning and personal development.

Students are also given the opportunity to acquire the skill set and knowledge base required for success in their A-levels, which are internationally recognised and comprise a transferable gold standard in further education.

KYUEM aims to prepare young Malaysians for degree level studies at the finest universities in Malaysia and overseas.

Now in its 25th year, the college, its students and staff continue to set and meet extraordinary standards, as well as university placement targets.

Following the exceptional A-level 2022 results published in August, 84% of KYUEM’s graduating students secured unconditional offers of enrolment at a number of the world’s leading universities.

Most of the college’s students who travelled overseas to further their studies in 2022 went to the UK (148), the US (16), Australia (5), Canada (2), China (2) and the Republic of Ireland (1).

In October 2022, KYUEM students achieved even more success as they received a number of Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards (OCLA) from Cambridge Assessment International Education.

Five of the institution’s students were awarded “top in the world” in Marine Science, at AS-level and full A-level, and also in Further Mathematics at AS-level. One student was also awarded “top in Malaysia” in Biology at AS-level.

Over the past nine years, KYUEM students have received 76 OCLAs across a range of AS-level and full A-level subjects. A total of 43 students have received a “top in the world” award and another 33 have been acclaimed as the “top in Malaysia”.

Between January and May each year, KYUEM students receive conditional offers from the finest of international universities.

As was the case in 2022, this year seven of KYUEM graduating seniors have received conditional offers from the University of Oxford and the University of Cambridge.

Conditional offers from the US are also coming in and will continue to do so till mid-April this year.

To date, KYUEM has received a number of offers from American-based institutions – two Ivy League conditional offers from Cornell University, two conditional offers from the University of California Berkeley, five conditional offers from UC Los Angeles, seven conditional offers from UC San Diego, one conditional offer from UC Irvine, one conditional offer from Stanford University and one conditional offer from John Hopkins University.
