Friso Gold’s milk truck drivers also take extra precaution when transporting milk, from farm to factory, as they are required to perform routine inspections at every farm they visit, before loading the milk into their trucks.
At each farm, the driver will draw a milk sample – which is kept at no more than 4°C – to check its colour and smell. If the driver is satisfied with the quality, the milk is then loaded into the truck’s milk tank for transportation.
Friso Gold milk truck drivers even carefully plan their routes ahead of time to ensure that they are no more than 70km away, from one stop to another – so that the milk remains fresh.
The milk tanks are also cleaned at least once every 24 hours to adhere to Friso Gold’s strict hygiene standards.
Once at the factory, while the milk is still inside the tank, the driver performs an antibiotics test and some final checks just to be absolutely sure, as milk is only unloaded into the factory if it passes all the required tests.

Most milk formulas are processed using high heat treatments that damage the natural structure of milk proteins, altering its chemical composition by the time it becomes dry.
