RHB Bank’s #JomSapot BeliLokal to help SMEs increase sales, with good deals for customers
MALAYSIA’s domestic retail industry has been making a recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic.
The country’s wholesale and retail trade sales in Q1 2023 grew 12.8% – reaching RM407.4bil in the first quarter of the year, according to the Department of Statistics Malaysia (DoSM).
Despite the promising figures, Retail Group Malaysia (RGM)’s latest Malaysia Retail Industry Report has cautioned that higher material, production, staff, rental and transportation costs continue to deplete profit margins – which means consumers will have less money to spend on retailers.
To assist Malaysian businesses, most of which are small-and medium-size enterprises (SMEs), RHB Bank is using its #JomSapot BeliLokal programme that comes at no extra or hidden costs to help them boost sales and revenue, drive business resilience, enhance brand awareness, on top of driving economic growth.
Launched in February 2022, RHB’s #JomSapot BeliLokal programme is a joint-effort with Star Media Group (SMG) which aims to assist SMEs during and after the pandemic by leveraging on RHB Bank’s many financial offerings and SMG’s extensive media readership.
In its latest efforts for #JomSapot Belilokal 2.0, RHB has engaged talented and charismatic actress, TV host and entrepreneur Sazzy Falak as the brand ambassador for participating SMEs.
SMEs can get a video advertisement specially curated for their brand at no cost when they register their details on rhbjomsapot.my.
Voice and facial recognition software will recreate Sazzy Falak’s face and voice patterns to match the details provided by the SMEs.
Additionally, #JomSapot BeliLokal 2.0 would feature the Awesome Lokal Guide to increase customer engagement and traffic for SMEs participating with the programme.
Using location-based contextual targeting, the guide will produce a list of local businesses on the platform that are within the vicinity of consumers.
