NATURAL Signature, a leading furniture brand, recently achieved a milestone by opening its third self-service experience showroom at IPC Shopping Centre, Petaling Jaya.
This follows the opening of its showroom in GMBB Kuala Lumpur last December and flagship store in Muar, Johor, in April this year.
The self-service showroom allows customers to have a private viewing of the furniture available where they can simulate different scenarios by visualising the furniture in their homes using available measuring tools prepared for them.
There will also be a QR code on each item to provide access to additional information, videos and to the official website where customers can purchase items conveniently in the showroom.
Interestingly, in order to enter the showroom, customers will have to first scan the QR code at the entrance to receive an access code.
Natural Signature's furniture has always been regarded as a symbol of high quality, sustainability and contemporary aesthetics, and the brand's design philosophy seamlessly combines natural elements with modern styles to create cosy home spaces.
Natural Signature founder Candice Lim expressed pride in this achievement. "We are proud to open the third self-service experience showroom at IPC Shopping Centre.
“We are committed to producing high-quality furniture and delivering excellent customer experience, all while reaffirming our commitment to the Malaysian market. We look forward to meeting customers in this unique self-service environment and exploring the charm of home aesthetics together."
A new approach to furniture shopping
In an interview, Lim discussed the traditional furniture buying process which can be lengthy as it involves design selection, in-person texture assessment, and family discussions.
She explained that salespeople could create pressure for customers visiting multiple times without buying. Hence, the idea for a self-service showroom emerged.
“With this approach, customers can visit the showroom anytime at their convenience and as many times as needed without feeling pressured. It also reduces labour costs, resulting in cost savings passed on to customers.”
Lim also discussed expansion plans to bring these self-service experience showrooms to more major cities.
Natural Signature's innovative approach extends to its workplace, allowing staff the flexibility to work from home which aligns with current work trends.
Lim clarified that "self-service" doesn't eliminate human resources but offers employees the option to work remotely, reducing commute time and enhancing job flexibility.
With the belief that self-service showrooms will be a trend in future society, Lim hopes this innovative shopping experience will provide customers with a more convenient and efficient way of shopping for home furnishings.
The showroom at IPC further expands the brand's presence and accessibility of products on major e-commerce platforms, offering consumers a diversified shopping choice.
Their product range covers various categories, including living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms, home offices, restaurants, and pet and human-friendly collections with over 250 products available.
Apart from the showrooms, Natural Signature runs the Art Space, a woodworking workshop in Muar that turns furniture scraps into art. This unique and creative space allows artists and woodworking enthusiasts to unleash their creativity and at the same time promote zero waste.
Moreover, Natural Signature offers customers a free furniture layout planning service. Customers simply provide their floor plans and dimensions through WhatsApp customer service chat at 010-888 5303 to receive professional planning advice.
Making a mark globally, and sustainably
Established just last year, the brand now exports its solid wood materials and versatile designs to customers in 37 countries, including Japan, South Korea, Germany, and the United States, establishing a strong global market presence.
The Natural Signature brand is committed to sustainability, practicing zero waste by repurposing wood scraps and harvesting their furniture wood from mature rubber trees, in line with responsible forestry practices, to reduce environmental impact.
Social responsibility is also actively fulfilled by regularly donating to social welfare organisations and supporting disadvantaged groups, with the aim of giving back to society through its business activities.
According to Lim, the future development of the Natural Signature brand holds promise as it continues to provide high-quality furniture choices for local and international markets while focusing on social responsibility and making positive contributions to society.
Natural Signature is also open to collaborating with interior designers and developers.
