Panel of judges

The selection process for HRD Awards 2023 was carried out by a panel of 14 judges comprising eight internal experts from HRD Corp and six external experts.

The six external judges were Malaysian Employers Federation council member Datuk Dr Lim Weng Khuan, Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers council member Dr Helena Eian Yeut Lan, SME Corp Malaysia programme coordination division senior director Czarif Chai Abdullah, Sirim Bhd group chief people and culture officer Khairul Muphinora Mahizan, National Tech Association of Malaysia (PIKOM) chief executive officer Ong Kian Yew and Talentcorp industry partnership head Nor Asmahan Othman.

The criteria for evaluating employers included the highest training places against the number of employees, financial assistance against levy payment, levy utilisation, and other factors.

For training providers and trainers, factors like their involvement in training initiatives, quality of training programmes, and high ratings from trainees played pivotal roles in the selection process.
