Chery Malaysia executive vice-president Leo Chen, who received the award from Star Media Group chief business officer, Lydia Wang at a recent gala dinner, said the win solidified OMODA 5 (H)’s reputation as a trailblazer in the field of B-Segment sport utility vehicles (SUVs).

The OMODA 5 (H) is powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine that delivers 156hp and 230Nm of torque and is coupled to a nine-speed continuously variable transmission (CVT).
This dynamic powertrain positions the OMODA 5 (H) as one of the class leaders in terms of performance.
In addition, the OMODA 5 comes with a futuristic styling that redefines the boundaries of style and innovation.
Its minimalistic interior design offers sophistication with a premium feel.
The dual 20.5-inch displays are customer favourites
In a recent survey conducted by Chery Malaysia, the three items that buyers loved the most in the OMODA 5 are the cutting-edge visual experience with dual 20.5-inch screens, 360-degree panoramic camera system which ensures complete visibility for safer driving, and seamless connection to smartphones using wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay apps.
The OMODA 5 (H) is equipped with a full suite of Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) that enhances safety for all onboard.
The lifestyle-themed vehicle is designed for the global Gen Z generation, encouraging exploration and motion.
The “O” in OMODA stands for optimism and vitality, drawing inspiration from oxygen, an essential element of life.
Meanwhile, “MODA” is rooted in “Modern,” symbolising a contemporary lifestyle.
OMODA 5 tagline “Cross F Future” has two meanings – “CROSS FROM FUTURE” as OMODA arrives from the future, and “CROSS FOR FUTURE,” as OMODA is created for the future.
The OMODA 5 is priced at RM108,800 (C variant) and RM118,800 (H variant).
The three colour options for both variants are Khaki White, Phantom Grey and Dark Black.
