GRAB Malaysia expands #SavewithGrab, which was introduced last year, to enhance the accessibility of on-demand services, targeting budget-conscious consumers amid our changing economic landscape.
This comes after the Finance Ministry’s Economic Outlook 2024 reported that Malaysia’s inflation rate is forecasted to range between 2.1% and 3.6% this year, emphasising the need for practical and accessible everyday solutions.
Grab Malaysia marketing head Hassan Alsagoff elaborates, “Our intention is to serve all Malaysians in every way they need, and these enhancements help us in achieving that by making our platform more accessible to a wider segment of consumers.
“New updates such as GrabUnlimited long term-plans and stamp cards don’t just help us stay relevant in the minds of budget-conscious consumers, but also open up more savings opportunities for all our consumers while potentially boosting earnings for driver-, delivery-, and merchant-partners too.”
Making deliveries accessible for every Malaysian
The new features that target budget and price-conscious consumers include lower delivery options on GrabFood, enhanced features for grouped orders, long term GrabUnlimited subscription plans and rewards through a newly introduced partner loyalty programme:
> Kombo jimat & Pakej RAHMAH - In addition to its staple HOTDEALS and HUNGRYDEALS, Grab is bringing back fan-favourite promotions, 'Kombo Jimat' and 'Pakej RAHMAH', helping Malaysians get the best eats at the lowest prices.
> Stamp cards - Earn stamps from your favourite restaurants, both on GrabFood and even on in-store orders, and get rewarded. The new stamp card loyalty programme is available now at participating merchant-partners nationwide such as Baskin Robbins, Killer Gourmet Burgers (KGB), Kyochon, Lim Fried Chicken (LFC), Salad Atelier and more.
> GrabUnlimited long-term plans - With the newly introduced long-term plans, Malaysians can now subscribe to GrabUnlimited for only RM3.99 a month. Now offered in periods of six months and 12 months, the new plans make it easier for consumers to enjoy unlimited benefits and savings.
For a limited time, users can get additional cashbacks as well as a free six-month GrabUnlimited membership in instant cashback.
Even more savings across the Grab ecosystem
Doubling down it’s focus on affordability, Grab Malaysia is also expanding #SavewithGrab to include additional segments of its business, specifically in the e-hailing and financial sector with GrabCar Saver and GXBank respectively:
> GrabCar Saver - Taking into account Malaysians’ positive reaction to GrabFood’s Saver Delivery, Grab Malaysia have introduced GrabCar Saver – a new ride service where passengers can save up to 20% on fares. The ride type is currently available in selected cities and times.
> GXBank debit card - GXBank’s upcoming GX card will offer various rewards and savings such as unlimited 1% cashback for every online and offline transaction, and 1.5% GrabRewards points when used in Jaya Grocer. In addition, just by opening a GX savings account, users are able to save with 3% per annum daily interest rate.
“Ultimately, our end goal remains the same – to be the most accessible on-demand platform for everyday services for every Malaysian. Ensuring we have affordable options and additional opportunities to save is just one of the needs we feel is vital to support Malaysians with.
“We look forward to continuing serving Malaysians and their growing needs, be it solutions that are budget-friendly, quick and fast, or customised,” Alsagoff adds.
