UoRM, which is the international branch campus of University of Reading in the UK, opened its doors in 2013, offering students the best of both worlds with the opportunity to study the same UK degrees here in Malaysia.

Students at the Malaysia campus have the option to spend part or complete their studies at the award-winning Reading UK campus, via the institution’s flexible mobility and transfer programme.

Located at EduCity in Iskandar Puteri, Johor Baru – Asia’s first multi-campus education city – UoRM offers several signature degree programmes in numerous disciplines such as Accounting, Finance, Management and Business, Law, Psychology, Quantity Surveying and Real Estate.

UoRM’s programmes are identical to those offered in the UK campus, following the same curriculum and academic quality standards. Furthermore, the state-of-the-art campus and digital learning suite provide students with excellent learning facilities and support.

The university’s main campus in the UK is set on 130ha of beautiful parkland and has won the Green Flag award 13 times in a row, making it one of the UK’s best green spaces.

The campus also has everything a student could need, including sports facilities, eateries, a supermarket and on-campus accommodation. It is also a short bus ride away from the Reading town centre, which has ample shops, restaurants and amenities.

A virtual tour of the UK campus is available here.

Affordable, flexible programmes

Parents also benefit from the option to decide when they are most comfortable sending their children to the UK.

Students can complete their full degree in Malaysia, which is a more affordable option given that they will only pay 40% of the overall estimated costs compared to studying at the UK campus – taking into account university fees and living expenses.

Moreover, students at UoRM may also be eligible to receive a merit-based High Achiever’s scholarship, worth up to 30% off their programme fees.

Students with A-level, STPM, UEC or equivalent qualifications can apply for direct entry to their undergraduate degree at UoRM.

Those with SPM or IGCSE qualifications can enrol in the one-year International Foundation Programme (IFP) at UoRM, and upon successful completion, commence their undergraduate studies either in Malaysia or the UK.

Either way, students and parents have the reassurance and peace of mind that they have flexible options for pursuing a high-quality UK education.

UoRM is currently accepting applications for its July and September 2024 intakes.
