CELEBRATING a landmark 50 years in property development, Setia has marked this significant milestone with a grand celebration, reflecting on its five decades of innovation and growth.
To ring in the 50th-anniversary festivities, Setia organised a vibrant event, dubbed “Celebrating Spaces” at Oval Lawn in Setia Park City, Setia Alam on July 21, to commemorate the company’s history of crafting quality spaces for communities.
The event was a testament to the developer’s journey and achievements over the years, and featured an exciting lineup of activities and performances for all ages.
Hosted by TV personality Baki Zainal and singer Nadia Hasnan, the event saw families and friends coming together to enjoy a variety of attractions including electrifying performances by renowned Malaysian artistes Danny Koo, Ella and Datuk Awie.
Attendees also immersed themselves in various activities which featured interactive game booths, engaging workshops and captivating performances by Setia Harmony Percussion and Psycusix Circus.
It wasn’t only fun and games for the adults, as the younger generation also had a blast during the meet and greet session with characters from Didi & Friends, a musical edutainment cartoon show for children.
For those with a keen interest in local arts and crafts, the Artisan Bazaar offered a blend of unique experiences, while those interested in properties could visit the numerous property sales booths at the event.
There were also experiential, hands-on activities that delved into the fascinating realm of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) and workshops that highlighted the importance of environmental, social and governance (ESG) initiatives.
To add to the festive atmosphere, food trucks were lined up to provide a delectable array of treats and local delicacies, ensuring everyone had something to savour at the event.

Embracing the theme “Shaping Spaces That Shape Us All”, the landmark event also featured the interactive #SetiaQubies exhibition which showcased life-sized cubes with 2D comic-styled illustrations displaying the spaces Setia has created to shape lives across the country.
The developer is also set to mobilise the #SetiaQubies exhibition via roving roadshows, which will travel through Klang Valley, Penang and Johor.
From an office-themed escape room to mini terrarium workshops, the #SetiaQubies roadshows will engage visitors with activities inspired by the developer’s “LiveLearnWorkPlay” philosophy within the mobile cubes.
50th-anniversary contest
In the spirit of celebrating 50 years, Setia is launching the social media contest, called Pose With #SetiaQubies, to give back to its loyal customers.
The developer invites everyone to participate by posing and snapping photos with at least two of the #SetiaQubies cube displays at Setia sales galleries or welcome centres. Participants then have to share which is their favourite #SetiaQubies space and how they Live, Learn, Work and Play in those spaces on Facebook or Instagram.
By tagging Setia and using the hashtags #SetiaQubies, #CelebratingSpaces and #SpacesThatShapeUs, 50 participants stand a chance to win exciting prizes, such as electronic devices, exclusive Setia merchandise and Amari Kuala Lumpur buffet vouchers, worth up to RM5,000.
