Agriculture technology takes centre stage


The Malaysia International Agriculture Exhibition (Agri Malaysia 2024) will be held from Sept 26-28 at the Setia City Convention Centre (SCCC) in Shah Alam, Selangor.

MALAYSIA’S largest B2B agriculture technology exhibition is set to make a return, welcoming 13,000 professionals across the globe.

The seventh edition of the Malaysia International Agriculture Exhibition (Agri Malaysia 2024) will be held from Sept 26-28 at the Setia City Convention Centre (SCCC) in Shah Alam, Selangor.

Under the theme “Empowering Agriculture Technology”, Agri Malaysia stands as a premier annual agriculture exhibition, serving as a B2B sourcing platform facilitating direct interactions with a diverse range of exhibitors.

It will also provide international buyers with the opportunity to source export-ready products.

Agri Malaysia 2024 is set to attract 400 exhibitors, with 550 booths and 800 brands, along with decision-makers, potential buyers and partners from over 18 countries in different regions around the world.

Plantation solutions platform for farmers and growers

The exhibition stands as a key platform for farmers and growers of various agricultural commodities, including fruits, vegetables and horticultural products.

Through showcasing the latest advancements in farming, cultivation, processing and sustainability practices, Agri Malaysia 2024 offers valuable insights and solutions to improve productivity, quality and efficiency for farmers and growers.

The exhibition will showcase a range of exciting features, including AgriDemo, where attendees can engage in live demonstrations of the latest cutting-edge technologies, ranging from advanced agricultural machinery and drones to smart farming applications.

AgriTalk will offer a series of free knowledge programmes covering diverse topics such as Smart Agriculture, Agricultural Sustainability, Palm Oil and Durian Farming Cultivation and Techniques.

AgriClinic provides a dedicated space for industry professionals to receive personalised guidance on soil and foliar testing and analysis from specialists.

Additionally, the new Smart Farming Zone in Hall B aligns with Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation’s (MDEC) Malaysia Digital (MD) AgTech programme, to digitally empower the national agriculture sector.

By integrating digital technologies such as Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data Analytics (BDA), artificial intelligence (AI) and DroneTech, this initiative aims to increase productivity, enhance quality, boost income, reduce operational costs, optimise plantations and foster further participation.

These collaborative efforts aim to sustain and scale Digital AgTech adoption across the agriculture sector, transforming it into a digitally empowered industry.

This initiative will boost the nation’s digital economy, in alignment with MDEC’s official appointment as the National Strategic Technology Validator by the Agriculture and Food Security Ministry, while supporting the key objectives of the National Agrofood Policy 2021-2030 (NAP2.0) and Digital Economy and Fourth Industrial Revolution Council (MED4IRN).

Agri Malaysia 2024 is endorsed by the Agriculture and Food Security Ministry, Investment, Trade and Industry Ministry (Miti) and Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (Matrade).

It is also supported by Malaysia Convention and Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB), Malaysian Federation of Vegetable Farmers Associations (PPSM), Federation of Malaysia Fruit Farmers Association (FMFFA), Johor Nursery Industry Association (PISJ), Malaysian CropLife and Public Health Association (MCPA), Malaysian Society of Soil Science (MSSS), Koperasi Pertanian dan Pemasaran Malaysia Bhd (KPPMB), Malaysia International Durian Industry Development Association (Midida), Malaysia Bonsai and Suiseki Society (MBSS), International Association for Agricultural Sustainability (IAAS), Sarawak Dayak Oil Palm Planters Association (Doppa), Asian Food and Feed Insect Association (Affia), Fertiliser Industry Association of Malaysia (Fiam) and National Association of Smallholders Malaysia (PKPKM).
